in typical Zane fashion

Yesterday was a big day for Zane. He suddenly started using the sign for milk, saying "Da" when he wants his dad, learned how to stand without holding on, and how to clap his hands when he's dancing or happy.

I, of course am experiencing more of that bitter-sweet mamma feeling that has grown so familiar. My baby is growing up.... My BABY is GROWING UP.

Some other things that I forgot to blog about but that Zee learned over the last 2 months: the meaning of the word "gentle", how to give kisses to mommy, daddy, the kitties, and his stuffed animals and, on the same day, he simultaneously learned how to crawl and how to pull himself up to stand and cruise.

He also got 4 teeth about a month ago, and is now getting 4 more. 1 broke the surface last week, but he won't let me check the "status" of the other 3. :)

It's exciting. I wish he knew how cool it is to learn and do all this new stuff but, it doesn't seem to phase him at all. Some babies get worked up as they're trying to learn a new task. Some get proud and excited when they finally make their accomplishments. In fact, except for a slight change in sleep patterns, Zane doesn't seem to take much notice at all. If anything, he seems always to be pushing on to the next big thing.
